BMW 7-series 2009 model
In short, it still has has four wheels, doors, bigger windows and extra large kidney grille in front, and as BMW describes, it emphasizes the ‘sheer power and width of the car’.
List of Bond like gadgets which will feature in new 7-series:
- the radar- guided cruise control that can brake the car to a stop, and then allow it to set off again;
- side view – the front bumper can house two cameras that help you nose out of blind junctions;
- a night vision camera that can detect individual people;
- speed limit display – it monitors road signs and displays correct speed limit, even if you’re on a road with variable limits;
- Integral Active Steering – a variable rack up front and rear wheels that can turn up to three degrees.
To ensure cars precise heart keeps pumpin’ even faster and more desirable, BMW is presenting this engine line-up with improved 6 speed gearbox and Dynamic Driving Control:
Diesel
730d – 3.0-litre straight six, single turbo, 241bhp and 398lb ft
Petrol
740i – 3.0-litre straight six, twin-turbo, 322bhp and 332lb ft
750i – 4.4-litre V8, twin-turbo, 402bhp and 442lb ft
Hybrid
Hybrid system donated from BMW X6, and will show up by the end of the decade.
Interior
Cabin becomes driver-orientated once more. iDrive system with programmable favourite buttons and a bigger – inch screen and a head-up display. There will also be a four-zone climate control system.
The new BMW 7-series will officially debut at the Paris motor show with sales starting shortly afterward.
